Laura Noel: Deliver Me

I found Laura Noel's work while I was at my parents house in North Georgia. I Googled Atlanta and photographer or something like that and then found Laura Noel.  I don't know if Laura considers herself a Southerner. I don't even know if she is from the South. . . but her portraits really have a Southern feel to them.  I'm sure there is a better way to say that.  And now I'm going to find out that most of the portraits were taken somewhere else. Like Nova Scotia.  See more of her work HERE.

Here is an image from Strangers & not so strange by CE Nelson.  Nelson writes: "This project is being shot exclusively on Fujifilm FP-100C instant film, using a Mamiya RB67 Pro-S fixed with a Polaroid back."  These portraits are beautiful.  Beautiful.

Sam be quiet, I'm going to record the ocean

This is an audio recording of my son and I at Castle Rock on Marblehead Neck.  I've taken him there many times. I have zillions of photographs. I don't think any image (or video for that matter) will bring back memories of going to Castle Rock like this audio recording will. The sounds of him throwing rocks... And I'm also playing with how to do some different field recording / experimental projects.  This recording also features Cricket Wilbur (geologist) telling me about the rocks from this beach.  She told me about the rocks. I then asked her to tell me again and to pretend I was in 3rd grade.  Photos below are a few I took at Castle Rock.

Lola Flash: Photographer

(At SPE) So I ask Lola Flash if I can interview her. She says YES.  BUT, this isn't really an interview. She knew the kinds of questions I'd probably ask. . .and answered them all before I could even ask one.  I actually broke this into two pieces.  The second part is Lola talking about her relationship with En Foco & Nueva Luz (coming soon).
